Bir Enkazın İzinde

When drought lowered Lake Sapanca's waters in 2012, a 40-year-old secret surfaced: the wreck of an RF-84F reconnaissance jet lost in 1972. The documentary traces the wreck and its fallen pilot.

A hull chanced upon by spearfishing divers eight meters down becomes a doorway into the Cold War years. Testimonies of the divers and instructors who found the wreck are interwoven with period newspaper archives, footage from the NATO era and the story of the RF-84F Thunderflash. From wreck dives in the lake's green depths to crystal-clear dive parks where sunken aircraft and tanks rest, all underwater cinematography and editing were handled in-house.
